How we handle information on omniqu.com.au and the Omniqu platform.
Who this policy covers
This policy covers two things: your visit to this website (omniqu.com.au), and the Omniqu platform we run for our business clients at hub.omniqu.com.au.
If you're a customer of one of our business clients — someone who's called, booked or messaged a business that uses Omniqu — the business you dealt with is responsible for its own privacy notice to you. This policy explains how Omniqu, as their service provider, handles that information on their behalf.
Information we collect
If you're just browsing. Page views, the site that referred you, your device and browser type, and an approximate location from your IP address — collected by our own first-party visitor analytics, never a third-party ad network.
If you talk to us. Anything you type into the webchat bubble, the contact form or the demo-booking widget on this site: your name, business name, phone number, email if you give one, and your message. All three run on our own systems and post directly into our own customer pipeline — no third party sees them in between.
If your business becomes a client.Your business's account details, and — because Omniqu runs your front desk for you — the information your own customers give us on your behalf: call recordings and transcripts, booking and reservation details, contact details, gift-card and payment records (the money itself settles straight into your own Stripe account — we don't hold it), and reviews. We hold this as your service provider, under your instructions.
Phone and chat recording
If you call the number on this site, you're talking to Omniqu's own AI receptionist — the same one our clients use — and, like every call our platform handles, it's recorded and transcribed so the conversation can be reviewed. The same applies to conversations you have with our webchat. That's true whether you're contacting Omniqu directly or calling a business that uses our platform.
How we use your information
- to reply to your enquiry and book a demo;
- to run the Omniqu platform for our business clients and, through it, their customers;
- to keep the service secure and stop misuse;
- to meet our own legal and accounting obligations — for example, invoicing and the Australian Consumer Law obligations discussed in our Terms.
Where information is stored, and how long we keep it
Information is stored on secure cloud infrastructure with reasonable technical and organisational protections in place. We keep call transcripts, bookings and contact records for as long as a business client's account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards for accounting and legal reasons; you or the business you dealt with can ask us to delete information sooner, subject to those obligations.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles (Privacy Act 1988), you can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@omniqu.com.au and we'll respond — if the information belongs to one of our business clients' own customer relationships, we may need to loop them in to action it properly.
Children
Omniqu isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 through this site.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if what we actually do changes, and we'll change the date at the top when we do. We won't quietly start doing something less protective than what's written here.
