Restoring a backup

UPDATED 22 SEP 20263 MIN READ
If your site needs to be rolled back — a bad update, content that shouldn’t have gone live — you ask us and we do it, rather than you finding a restore button buried in a dashboard yourself.

What "verified" means for a backup

A backup is only marked verified once it's actually been checked — not just taken and assumed good. Your first verified backup happens during setup week, per site, as part of WP pairing during onboarding — it isn't something switched on later once someone notices it's missing. Restores are only ever offered against a verified backup, and a fresh safety backup of your current site is taken before any restore proceeds, so a rollback can itself be undone if something's still wrong.
GOOD TO KNOW
Backup verification is a one-off check done during onboarding, per site — separate from the day-to-day monitoring your dashboard's website care panel shows, which reads "Websites monitored hourly" today. One tells you your last backup is good; the other tells you your site is up right now.

How to ask for one

Open the chat, or ring us, and tell us what needs rolling back and roughly when it last looked right. That’s the whole request — you don’t need to know which backup file to point at.
