What we do before a plugin update
UPDATED 22 SEP 2026·4 MIN READ
IN THIS ARTICLE
A plugin update is something that happens to your site, not something you’re asked to click through — and it happens with a rollback path underneath it, not as a one-way change.
The safety net
A verified backup exists before an update goes ahead, following the same rule that governs every restore: only a backup that’s actually been checked is one we’d roll back to. If an update causes a problem, that’s the backup we restore from.
GOOD TO KNOW
You don’t need to approve each individual plugin update — that’s the point of website care. If you’d rather be told before anything changes, say so and we’ll flag updates to you first instead.
